With these three steps we turn Rotary climate responsible. From an individual club to the whole country to the whole world. If you want to create change somewhere else, you have to start with yourself first. Imagine saving the climate.
VISION
How It Works
HOW IT WORKS
CONCEPT / The climate transition will only be successful if we reduce our CO2 emissions together and without hesitation and offset the remaining emissions. With various CO2-reducing projects of our partner MyClimate, we support the self-healing of the earth.
End Warming Now shows how Rotary and Rotaract can walk this path together.
By taking responsibility and being able to act. Now.
ANALYZE / With the CO2 calculator we can calculate the footprint of our activities, both at individual and overall club level. A few figures are all we need to get a good estimate of last year's CO2 emissions:

number of on-site and digital meetings

distance between meeting location and residence

share of low-emission means of transport

share of vegetarian cuisine

GOAL / Rotary stands for social responsibility and commitment. This is embodied internationally by countless clubs with a wide variety of projects. The climate also demands a change from us. We bear great responsibility and have the chance to be change makers for not only a future worth living but life-sustaining.
And in this we are joining the international community, which has set itself a framework for reducing emissions in the Paris climate agreement.
In three steps to the goal!
REDUCE / We can always reduce our footprint. Now and every day. In almost every aspect of life we can reduce emissions or even act completely climate-neutral. These are just some
examples of concrete action we can take:

car pools, public means of transport, bicycle

vegetarian or vegan cuisine

use of digital formats
-
using local resources
-
use carbon neutral products or develop them

adapt travel behavior (less or consciously CO2-neutral)
COMPENSATE / Human life only works by emitting CO2.We can only "become neutral" when we compensate for the remaining emissions and thus relieve the burden on the earth. On a global scale, we can only reach END WARMING NOW if we successfully implement comprehensive carbon offset projects. It is down to us to help the earth regenerate. And we need to start NOW.
GETTING STARTED / We offer clubs an easy way to start by analyzing and reducing their emissions. In cooperation with the globally recognized non-profit Swiss foundation myClimate we make the next step towards compensation transparent and uncomplicated!

We would like to walk this path together with all members of the Rotarian family and make our progress visible to the world!
For the future this means: In addition to cooperation with compensation service providers such as myClimate, we are planning our own Rotary compensation projects - for example our own wind farm.

OUR OFFER
LECTURE / We support you in creating a personalized presentation to present yourself or we can come to your RAC/RC and give a one-hour presentation on our project followed by a discussion.
WORKSHOP / Together with you we calculate the footprint of all members of your club - live and interactive! We will then discuss what this means for us as a club within the framework of the Paris climate agreement by 2050. The workshop lasts about three hours and can take place live or digitally.
COMPENSATION / EWN, together with myClimate, will soon offer you the opportunity to offset your emissions with our calculator .
